Our Projects

The Institute's History

In response to the need for educated professionals in the local work force, Olancho Aid, together with the Diocese of Juticalpa, undertook the founding of a secondary school. The Institute was opened in 2003 as an initiative to improve the quality of education in the department of Olancho.

Cardinal Rodriguez offers a high quality education to its students.

The school's inaugural class of 53 high school students began a three-year program that was designed not only to prepare students for further university study, but also to give them the technical training necessary for entering the professional work force. In 2004, in response to requests by the community, we implemented a two-year secondary certificate program also designed to prepare students for university study.
