Our Projects
Santa Clara School
The sun has barely climbed out from behind the hills of Olancho and already energy and enthusiasm are bursting from the classrooms of the Santa Clara School. The brightly colored uniforms that students wear are a perfect match for the vibrant learning environment that is Santa Clara.
Santa Clara's curriculum is centered in the belief that students should be challenged academically and develop intellectual skills that are both creative and progressive. Through learning, our children are encouraged to confront the demands of society with a sense of optimism, a strong faith, and an appreciation of different cultures. Integrated into basic academic instruction are themes and programs that orient students to fulfill their potential as unique human beings and contributors to humanity.
The school is experiencing rapid growth, and now provides a bilingual education to the general public using a U.S.-modeled course curriculum, bilingual instructors and foreign volunteers, while preparing children for secondary school and beyond.
